Where to...skate: Chicago's lakeshore

Chicago's lakeshore is a great place for fitness skating. The small stipe of asphalt that run between the lake Michigan and the highway from the city far north to the far south is traveled every day by an huge number of runners, cyclists and skaters. Considering that some cyclists run very fast I think it's possible to do the same by skates. So, it's can be useful for long distance trainings too. Tips: newbie skaters have to make attention in the "beach" area, where the sand could reach the asphalt.
I spent only 3 months in that amazing city and I loved the lakeshore. It has beautiful landscapes and unique skyscrapers' views. So, if you will spend some days in the "windy city" bring your skates with you!

Where to...watch: Powerslide TV

Inline speed skating is quite difficult to watch on TV. Internet save us with a lot of video from all over the world.
One of the best channel where to find really good skating video is "Powerslide TV", the official channel of Powerslide, one of the biggest skates' manufacturer of the world.
They provide us a huge number of videos, in particular I had really appreciated the "VideoLog" filmed during the World Championship. The peculiarity is that famous skaters comment live the races. This is really cool and interesting. Nobody made this before. So, the PStv channel is pretty amazing, probably the best one. It's why I decided to start the blog with it. I leave you with a VideoLog: the only Italian win at the last World Championship.

Hello world!

Hello world!

This is the first post of a new personal project called RacingSkate. As you could imagine watching the headline this is a blog related to Inline Speed Skating, which is one of my biggest passion.
I decided to open this blog seeing only few online sources available about this sport. I want to bring a breath of freshness posting videos, photos, rumors, news and reviews. I know it's not simple, but I hope it could engage even more users, becoming a nice place where spend a couple of minutes, reading the posts and posting comments and new ideas.

About me, I'm italian and I'm finishing a marketing management master degree. I played this sport for 11 years until 2006, entering many races and national championships, but also now I really love skating in a no-competitive way.

Have fun. "Attention"…START :D
